Al Cavalari (theflagguys) > This is one of coolest historical artifacts I've seen in any collection. It is an original press that creates an original embossed state seal. It is now retired and has been replaced by a successor. My understanding is that there is only one official state seal and that no legislative act is finalized until the seal has been embossed by the official device. It's a rather simple device but think of all the power it wields. The current device is locked away.
